Woodside has an active Parents and Friends group. This group assists the school in many ways and raises money. They provide a hot lunch program each Friday and cater for events such as the Annual Christmas Concert.
The School Council is responsible for defining the Policy of the school. A school council election is held annually.
We encourage parents to nominate for School Council positions. Parents are also welcome to attend any school council meeting as a visitor.
There are also opportunities for parents who are not School Council members to become involved in the school. The School Council meets monthly.
There are various avenues for involvement of your child’s education at Woodside. These include, but are not limited to:
Each year we warmly welcome the help of parents in the creation of the Woodside Primary Tarra Parade float.
Tarra Festival is held over Easter each year in Yarram. For a population of only 5100 in the greater Yarram area, the Tarra Festival attracted est 10,000 people to the Street parade on Saturday and over 18,000 spectators to events in total.
