Woodside Primary has a very
successful camping programme which begins from our students very first
year. The Junior Sleepover, for grades Prep to Two is always a lot
of fun. While sleeping over is optional for our Preps, almost all
are comfortable enough to stay. The sleepover usually features a
night walk, bonfire and the famous 'Panther' hunt. Last time we
caught a black kitten so we're getting close!
Our older students go on camps to
Melbourne, Forest Lodge, an adventure camp and our skiing camp to Mount
Hotham. How many other primary schools do you know that can boast
a ski camp? As well, our School Council regularly approves other
excursions which help compliment our broader camping programme.
